CROCODILE KYRIE
The Boomers may get a massive boost on the eve of London 2012 if NBA rookie Kyrie Irving chooses to represent Australia at the Olympics

The Boomers have a chance to snare the talents of Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving at the London 2012 Olympics if recent comments by the Australian-U.S. dual citizen are anything to go by.
Earlier this week when asked about representing Australia at the 2012 Olympics, Irving replied “That’s probably my only choice right now.” After missing the cut of the 20 Team U.S.A. finalists, you could probably take that ‘probably’ and make it a ‘definitely’.

Patty Mills didn’t even know if he would have a contract when he was drafted into the nba. Two years later, he’s awaiting a return to the nba. The stage is set, only one thing is missing a team. Luckily for the young Aussie, one team from the wild, wild west needs a point guard like him

The Curious Case of the Los Angeles Lakers

As the shortened and compressed NBA season begins to take shape, one question that still stands out is the curious case of the Los Angeles Lakers. Following a tumultuous and highly chronicled off-season, no one knew what to make of this Lakers unit coming into the season. After 11 games and a 7-4 record, the only thing thats cooled in Lakerland is Dwight Howard trade talks.
COLE WORLD
HOW NORRIS COLE COULD SPARK A DYNASTY

To say a rookie taken at the bottom of the first round could be the key to an NBA championship is a pretty audacious statement. But if the Miami Heat’s early season dominance is an suggestion, Norris Cole may be backing up his own words.
Coming out of Cleveland State University, Cole slid from a late lottery projection to the 28th pick where the Bulls snared him, but dealt him to the Timberwolves almost straight away. Just as Cole no doubt began having nightmares about battling Minnesota’s point guard infested roster for a minute, he was whisked away to the sunny beaches of Miami, Florida.

The Expendables - The Blazers Have Found Treasure in Trash

The Expendables: The Blazers have found treasure in trash
They come from all parts of the NBA landscape, but the Portland Trail Blazers have defied expectations and are turning the tables on the rest of the NBA.

If you were to look around the Portland Trail Blazers locker room, there would be a fair few faces you’d recognise from other uniforms. Journeyman centres Kurt Thomas and Marcus Camby both have travelled the NBA landscape extensively through their long career, while Raymond Felton and Gerald Wallace are both reunited after starting their careers as Bobcats. Jamal Crawford is starting this season on his fifth team, and guard Wesley Matthews is only just beginning to look like a Blazer after starting his career with the Utah Jazz. In fact, the only two regular faces on the Portland roster that have been career-long Blazers are LaMarcus Aldridge and Nicolas Batum.
